Fashion Music Videos Are Crazy Cool

Fashion moves off the runway, out of print ads and into video in all three of these fashion films. Though associated with different brands and magazines, the film trio displayed below has some truly awesome factors in common – both music, and quirk.

Fashion culture magazine, i-D, tapped Lara Stone in their short film representation, using 80’s British new wave band, A Flock of Seagulls’ hit single, ‘I Ran’. The video displays the brit model in vintage 80’s inspired clothing such as a Blondie t-shirt, leather jacket and cap. Stone also appears on stage, rocking it out in an 80’s slow motion daze. The video is outgoing with a nostalgic feel, which certainly should resonate in anyone who has experienced England in its 80’s retro wave prime.

Similarly, in HUNGER TV | HUNGER MAGAZINE’s short film, “We’ve Got Issues”,  the retro punk vibe is resurrected once more. The offbeat, fast-paced nature is exemplified again, using HUNGER’s favorite cover models holding descriptor signs of moods and personas, such as “flirtatious”, “bitchy”, and “appalled.” The video consists of short frames of the models making goofy faces to electric guitar riffs, while portraying the assigned descriptor. The zany video also made a nice play on words with the title, “We’ve Got Issues.” Of course you do, HUNGER MAGAZINE.

Prior to “We’ve Got Issues”, HUNGER TV | HUNGER MAGAZINE released a video showcasing Italian fashion brand MSGM, worn by possibly the world’s fiercest air-band, comprised of all models. The ladies, decked head to toe in MSGM, lip sync and air-guitar their tails off, complete with an epic instrument thrashing end – how very Cobain.
