Summer breeze is making Target feel fine this spring as the company is partnering with Palm Beach lifestyle brand, Lilly Pulitzer for their next designer partnership.

The limited-edition 250 piece collection of Lilly Pulitzer for Target will launch on April 19th in all Target stores in the U.S./Canada and on Target.com. The latest collaboration includes apparel, accessories and shoes for women and girls, as well as home accents, outdoor entertaining accessories, beach gear, travel essentials and more. Spring is a fitting season for the partnership as Lilly Pulitzer has a rich history of tropical color and exuberant prints and patterns, which reflect the sun-belt lifestyle of Palm Beach. The limited-edition collection features 15 exclusive prints, which are original works of art, created by Lilly Pulitzer artists specifically for the partnership.

This spring, we wanted to offer our guests a collection that embraced color, print and pattern in a bold, fresh way. As we started to think about the perfect partner to collaborate with, Lilly Pulitzer was the clear choice given the brand’s inspiring heritage, authority with print and pattern and resort-chic aesthetic.

Founded in 1959 by Lilly (McKim) Pulitzer — a stylish Palm Beach hostess and socialite whose husband Peter Pulitzer owned several citrus groves — the brand has a unique origin. Lilly would turn her husband’s fresh oranges into juice, which she sold at a juice stand. She created vibrant printed shift dresses to wear while working at the stand because the patterns camouflaged the juice spills. Catching the eye of more than one passerby, including the likes of Jackie Kennedy, Lilly started selling her dresses at her juice stand, and thus the brand was born.Lilly-target
