The Store Scout | TODD SNYDER Madison Square Park Flagship
BY MARISSA TORSIELLO
A true destination for the modern man, CFDA Nominee for Menswear Designer of the Year, Todd Snyder opened the doors of his first flagship located in Manhattan Madison Square Park North. The 4,500 sq. ft. location will sell Todd Snyder apparel alongside selected merchandise from partners including: Champion, Timex, Mackintosh, Globe Trotter, Tricker’s and Alden. The space was designed in collaboration with James Mills, and combines elements of nature with inspiration from Snyder’s Europe trip.
Guests will be welcomed by a façade detailed with vintage brass door handles sourced in London from Anthony Outred Antiques. Inside the space there is modern and mid-century furniture that sets the masculine tone. British Artist Luke Edward Hall, fresh off collaborations with Christie’s, Burberry and Liberty London, created the opening visual installation. Limited edition, signed and numbered prints of the installation will be available exclusively in the store. Additional design touches include lighting from Apparatus Studio, custom flooring from LV Wood and vintage rugs from ABC Carpet & Home.
Every collection starts with inspiration from the worlds of art, architecture and design, made to fit the modern man and his lifestyle. We created the New York store to embody that lifestyle down to the smallest detail, all hand selected from resources and vendors we love, many via our new partners at 1stdibs. It’s not just a clothing store – it’s a great place to come for a seasonal wardrobe upgrade with a personal stylist, to get fitted for your next suit while enjoying an espresso or a beer, or to hang out with friends while getting a haircut and a shave.
What better way to attract men than a store with a Persons of Interest barbershop operated by Steve Marks and a café/bar owned by Nick Morgenstern of El Rey Coffee Bar & Luncheonette. A haircut and a beer all in a relaxed yet polished environment that represents the Todd Snyder lifestyle. Snyder’s revamped men’s styling also features a built-in Tailor Shop that provides convenient customization and a brand new Selvedge Denim collection.
This Todd Snyder location is the epitome of an urban boutique meets gentleman’s store and we are ready to experience it all.
