Burberry Names Judy Collinson Chief Merchandising Officer
Judy Collinson has appointed Chief Merchandising Officer of Burberry. Previously Collinson spent five years as the Senior Vice President of Merchandising for the US at Christian Dior. Collinson made a name for herself at Barneys New York where she worked for 22 years rising to Executive Vice President, General Merchandising Manager Women’s. In her new role, Collinson will drive Burberry’s product strategies and will report initially to Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer Christopher Bailey and then to Marco Gobbetti when he becomes CEO on 5th July 2017.
Nordstrom Appoints Anne Bramman As CFO
Seattle based Nordstrom has tapped Anne Bramman as Chief Financial Officer. Bramman was most recently SVP and CFO of Avery Dennison Corporation. Bramman joined Avery Dennison in 2015 from Miami-based Carnival Cruise Line, where she has served as SVP CFO. Prior to joining Carnival, Bramman spent six years at Columbus, Ohio-based L Brands, Inc.. She began her career at L Brands in 2004 as VP Finance for Victoria’s Secret stores. In 2006, she was promoted to VP/Assistant Treasurer – mergers, acquisitions and capital markets for the corporation before assuming the position of SVP and CFO for the Henri Bendel brand in 2008. She previously served as SVP – worldwide finance and strategic planning for THQ, Inc. for two years, and for three years as SVP of Corporate Development and Treasurer at Kinko’s, Inc. Her other financial experience includes seven years at Atlantic Richfield (ARCO) and three years with Arthur Andersen & Co.
Amazon Fashion President Cathy Beaudoin Departs
After eight years at the helm of Seattle-based Amazon Fashion, President Cathy Beaudoin has left the firm. Beaudoin joined Amazon in 2008 overseeing their fashion portfolio including Amazon, Shopbop, and MyHabit. She joined Amazon from Gap Inc. where she had conceived and founded Piperlime as SVP in 20015. Prior to that she held various roles at Gap Inc., including SVP Marketing at Old Navy and Banana Republic.
Marks & Spencer Taps Jill McDonald As Managing Director
Marks & Spencer has named Jill McDonald as Managing Director of its clothing, home and beauty division, effective October 2017. McDonald rose to prominence at British Airways in the early 2000s before becoming CEO of McDonalds UK in 2010. She became CEO of car parts and bike retailer Halfords in 2015.
Paula Schneider Steps Down As CEO of DG Premium Brands
Paula Schneider has parted ways after a year at the helm as CEO with Los Angeles based Delta Galil Industries Ltd., owners of 7 For All Mankind, Splendid and Ella Moss. Schneider was previously CEO of American Apparel. Prior to that, Schneider was President of Warnaco Swimwear Group, President of Laundry by Shelli Segal and President of Sales at BCBG Max Azria.
Isabelle Harvie-Watt Clavarino Joins Spring Group As Milan CEO
Spring Group has appointed Isabelle Harvie-Watt Clavarino as a Partner/CEO of its Milan division. Previously, Harvie-Watt was CEO of Havas Media Group Italy and Managing Director of Havas’ Global luxury division LuxHub for the past five years. Prior to that she was Global Marketing and Communication Director at Tod’s and held various roles at Versace and Giorgio Armani.
CVL Cosmetics Promotes Sophie Vann Guillon to CEO
Geneva based CVL Cosmetics has promoted Sophie Vann Guillon to Chief Executive Officer, a newly created role at the firm. Vann Guillon has been with CVL Cosmetics for 17 years as Chief Operating Manager. Prior to joining the parent organization of the Valmont Group, Vann Guillon was Marketing Manager at Yves Saint Laurent Parfums for six years.
Paul Beesley Steps Down as Hudson’s Bay CFO
After three years as CFO, Paul Beesley has resigned from Hudson’s Bay Company and will depart in July. Beesley joined the Canadian retailer from Empire Company Limited where spent 14 years serving in various roles including Chief Corporate Development Officer of the Sobeys Inc. unit and EVP CFO of Empire. Prior to Empire, Mr. Beesley was VP CFO of The Globe and Mail Company.
Nina Stuart Joins Jennifer Fisher As Global Communications Director
New York based designer jewelry firm Jennifer Fisher has tapped Nina Stuart to the newly created role of Global Communications Director. Stuart joins Jennifer Fisher from Tom Ford International where she was most recently US PR Director. Prior to joining Tom Ford, Stuart was with Karla Otto as an Account Director, and at KCD as a Senior Publicist. She began her career at Lanvin.
Converse Taps Khobi Brooklyn As VP Global Communications
Khobi Brooklyn has been named Vice President of Global Communications at Converse. Brooklyn was most recently Head of Global Communications at Tesla. Prior to Telsa she was Director Product Communictions and Brand Marketing at Square. She began her career at Atomic Public Relations. In her new role Brooklyn will oversee Converse’s global communications team, public relations, media relations, internal communications, corporate communications, and report to Converse’s CEO Davide Grasso.
