Hedi Slimane Named Céline Artistic, Creative, and Image Director
Céline has tapped Hedi Slimane as their new Artistic, Creative, and Image Director, succeeding Phoebe Philo who held the position for 10 years. Slimane joins from Yves Saint Laurent where he was Creative Director. Prior to that, he was Creative Director or Dior. In his new position with Céline, Slimane is set to start menswear, couture, and fragrance lines at the French brand.
Kim Jones Exits Louis Vuitton as Artistic Director
Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director, Kim Jones, is departing from the French fashion house after seven years with the brand. Previously, Jones was Creative Director of Alfred Dunhill. Besides his own collection, Jones has an extensive design portfolio including Alexander McQueen, Mulberry, Hugo Boss, and Uniqlo. Jones also branched out of brands and into media, also serving as residential Stylist and Art Director at publications like Dazed & Confused Magazine, New York Times’ T Style Magazine, and i-D Magazine. Recently, Jones presented his last show as the Artistic Director for Louis Vuitton, Fall 2018, at Paris Men’s Fashion Week.
Alix Browne Appointed Helmut Lang Editor-in-Residence
Helmut Lang has named Alix Browne as their new Editor-in-Residence. Browne joins from W Magazine where she was Features Director. Prior to that, she was Deputy Design Editor of The New York Times’ T Style Magazine. In 1999 Browne founded V Magazine and served as Editor for five years.
Ralph Lauren Taps Alice Delahunt as Chief Digital Officer
Alice Delahunt has tapped to fill a new position at Ralph Lauren, that of Chief Digital Officer. Previously, Delahunt was Director of Digital Marketing at Burberry. Before that, she was Delahunt will take on her new position starting in April.
Ralph Lauren Promotes Laura Porco to SVP of E-Commerce, North America
As Ralph Lauren looks to strengthen its digital team, they’ve promoted Laura Porco as their new SVP of E-Commerce for their North American market. Porco originally joined Ralph Lauren in 2015 as their SVP of E-Commerce for Club Monaco. Prior to that, she worked as a Consultant at David Yurman, and before that she worked at Amazon for 13 years.
Valeria Juarez Promoted at Ralph Lauren to SVP of E-Commerce, International
Ralph Lauren’s former SVP of E-Commerce for EMEA, Valeria Juarez, has been promoted to SVP of E-Commerce across the globe. Previously, Juarez worked at Amazon as Prime Now EU Director, and Apparel Director before that.
Ralph Lauren Taps Cyrus Fenton as Chief Information Security Officer
Cyrus Fenton is joining Ralph Lauren as their new Chief Information Security Officer. Fenton serves as Chairman of the IT Security Council for the National Retail Federation, and also sits on the Board of Directors for the Retail Analytics Council. Previously, Fenton was President of Booksamillion.com
Christina Ahlers Named Courrèges CEO
French fashion house Courrèges has tapped Christina Ahlers as their next Chief Executive Officer. Ahlers joins from Acne Studios where she was Head of the brand’s Paris outpost, then it’s international headquarters. Before that, she was Sales Manager at Maison Martin Margiela. Ahlers’ new position with Courrèges begins February 12th.
Matteo Mascazzini Tapped as Geox CEO
Geox SpA has found their new Chief Executive Officer in Matteo Mascazzini. Mascazzini joins from Gucci, where he held many different positions over his 10 years there, most recently serving as SVP and COO. Prior to his time there, Mascazzini was COO and CFO at Giorgio Armani, and before that he was Group Controller at the Gianni Versace Group.
Violante Avogadro di Vigliano Joins Roger Vivier as Global Marketing and Communications Director
French fashion label Roger Vivier has tapped Violante Avogadro di Vigliano as Global Marketing and Communications Director, to fill the newly created position. Avogadro di Vigliano joins from Montblanc where she was for 12 years, most recently serving as International PR and Cultural Foundation Director. Before that, she worked in PR for Gucci and Ralph Lauren. In her new position, Avogadro di Vigliano will oversee PR, marketing, and digital affairs globally.

Swimwear label Seafolly has named Paul Kotrba as Chief Executive Officer. Kotrba succeeds Anthony Halas, who is staying on the board at non-executive Director. Kotrba joins from DKNY where he worked for over 15 years, most recently serving as Chief Commercial Officer.

Following the departure of Editor-in-Chief Elaine Welteroth, Phillip Picardi has been promoted to Chief Content Editor at Teen Vogue. Picardi will continue to serve as Chief Content Officer at Them, Condé Nast’s LGBTQ youth publication. Prior to his time at Them, Picardi was Senior Beauty Editor at Refinery29.
