Zion Armstrong Promoted to Adidas President of North America Adidas has appointed Zion Armstrong to head up their North American division as President. Previously, Armstrong was General Manager of their US operations, and before that he was their Managing Director in Korea. Prior to Adidas, Armstrong was Brand Director at Reebok in Korea.
Cristian Valsecchi Named Prada General Director Fondazione Prada has tapped Cristian Valsecchi to be Prada’s General Director, a newly created position at the luxury Italian brand. Valsecchi joins from both Turin Museums Foundation and Association of Italian Contemporary Museums, both of which he served as the General Secretary. Prior to that, Valsecchi worked at several art organizations including Artissima, Palazzo Grassi in Venice, and Contemporary and Modern Art Museum of Trento and Rovereto and Bergamo’s Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery.
Julien Cahn Joins Supreme as CMO Julien Cahn has been tapped at Supreme to act as their new Chief Marketing Officer. Previously, Cahn was at Converse in the same position. Prior to that, he was Senior Marketing Director at Converse’s parent company, Nike. Cahn also founded Paris-based communications agency, La MJC in 2001 alongside Michael Dupuoy.
Matches Fashion Taps Tom Athron as COO London-based international luxury retailer Matches Fashion has appointed Tom Athron as Chief Operating Officer. Previously, Athron was at John Lewis for 12 years as their Group Development Director. Prior to that, Athron was Chief Financial Officer at Waitrose Grocer.
Yoox Net-a-Porter Names Federico Marchetti Chairman of the Board Federico Marchetti has been named the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yoox Net-a-Porter. Marchetti is set to lead the brand through its transition as Richemont proceeds with its takeover of YNAP. Marchetti is also Founder and CEO of YNAP
Mr Porter Hires Chris Wallace as Editor E-commerce website Mr Porter has found their new Editor in Chris Wallace. Wallace joins from Interview Magazine where he was Executive Editor for three years from 2014-2017. Alongside his editorial positions, Wallace is also a freelance writer for publications such as The Paris Review Daily, The Atlantic, and Guernica Magazine.
Andy Janowski Named J. Hillburn to CEO Menswear retailer J. Hillurn has appointed Andy Janowski to CEO. Previously, Janowski was Executive Chairman of J. Hillburn’s Board. Prior to that, he was CEO of Smythson, and has also served as Chief Operation Officer at Burberry Group.
Dan Rookwood, previously US editor of Mr Porter, is now Sr. Director of Global Editorial Content Strategy at Nike.
Geoffroy Lefebvre, previously interim CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre, is now CEO of Baume & Mercier.
Alain Zimmermann, previously Baume & Mercier CEO, is now Head of Digital Marketing for watches at Compagnie Financière Richemont.

Lemaire to Go Coed in September Fashion Week. Lemaire has announced their plan to show their men’s and women’s collections together during men’s fashion week in Paris. The brand, designed by Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran is set to show September 26th. Lemaire is the latest in a string of brands deciding not to separate their collections, including Kenzo, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Saint Laurent, and Vetements.
