Just in time for this holiday season, the house of Dior has rolled out three ad campaign in as many weeks featuring model Anna Ewers to highlight the houses broad selection of jewelry and watches designed by Victoire de Castellane, the Creative Director of Dior Joaillerie.
The three campaigns, entitled La Rose Dior Collection, La D de Dior Satine, and The Rose des Vents Creations, were lensed by Alasdair McLellan juxtaposing black and white with color. Ewers, traditionally cast as today’s Brigitte Bardot, takes on more of the girl-next-door role than sex-bomb, smiling to offer a warm and embraceable look.
Several videos accompany the campaign to help showcase all of the product offering with small charms floating through the airy landscapes. Overall the campaigns are traditional accessary campaign fodder, leaning more on the safe than risky side, better to leave that to the mainstay collection campaigns. The only downside of the strategy is memory, or lack of developing a campaign that is memorable, as this series tends to be as light as the air backdrop they were created on.
