Well it appears that the US mid term elections aren’t the only thing to be excited about during the first week of November as H&M x Moschino breaks on November 8th to what will likely be a less divided audience.
To drum up some excitement for the big launch the crew at H&M has released a teaser, providing us at The Impression with a taste of what they have entitled the ‘MOSCHINO [tv) H&M campaign.’ What the [tv) part means is TBD, but since the logos on Instagram played up the ‘as seen on TV’ aspect of the campaign, we anticipate a slew of video assets which makes sense considering the talent involved. Photographer/Director, Steven Meisel has pulled together an all-star cast including models Gigi Hadid, Vittoria Ceretti, Rianne Von Rompey, Stella Maxwell, Soo Joo Park, Imaan Hammam, Yasmin Winjaldum, Oumie, Valentina Sampaio and Leyna Bloom. That team was augmented by a supporting cast including Meisel regulars; Guido Palau, Pat McGrath, and Mary Howard.
While the design team may have debated about the percentage of gold or silver in the campaign (gold clearly came out the winner), the campaign concept is clear, a nod to the couture showings of the 1950’s where models paraded in small salons with numbers. Looks like the only thing missing here is an announcer and we think we know where H&M and Moschino can find one in Jeremy Scott.
So far the campaign promises to bring Scott’s Moschino styling to the masses and come November, campaign promises that can be delivered upon, are a big deal indeed.
