Distant and tropical lands were beckoning designers this season resulting in a bevy of landscape graphics taking over the runway. Suburban Simpson’s home pop-up at Virgil Abloh’s Off-White while neon camp trees populated printed tops and sweaters at Prada, Valentino, Amiri, MSGM, and Paul Smith. All signified a longing for a trip but none as fanciful as Virgil Abloh for Louis Vuitton men’s where the landscape was literally the yellow brick road from The Wizard Of Oz. We think it wise to pay close attention to the man behind the curtain.
