The Store Scout – Isabel Marant Miami Design District
[hr align=”center” weight=”thick” style=”line”] BY VICTORIA ROMANO
Isabel Marant has opened her fifth US store in Miami in the Design District. The store presents the artful sophistication that is Isabel Marant. The designer opened her first store in Paris in 1998 and has now grown to 25 stores across the world. This new location will offer customers the Main Line collection, Isabel Marant Etoile collection, and accessories.
The 2,150-square foot store is in the beautiful Garden Lounge Building. The unique design was created by French Architect, Laurent Deroo. Inspired by the modernist 50s/60s period, the store is very minimalistic and creates an earthy atmosphere. Displayed in the center of the store is a dynamic and sculptural chandelier that hangs above a fluffy white wool sofa. The clothing is displayed around the store on thin racks maintaining the minimalistic vibe. Arnold Goron, who is the French sculptor that decorated past window displays for Marant contributed again to this new location. This time the window has a colorful installation featuring a rotating fan with long stems and a petal that moves with the wind. Goron wanted to display a natural, fresh, and colorful spring installation to celebrate the Spring line.
